Meet our Team
Emily Cleveland-Job, ND
Emily Cleveland-Job, a Naturopathic Doctor, received her doctoral degree from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, OR. Her approach to health begins with the belief that clients are best served when the physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional aspects of health are all considered and addressed. She emphasizes prevention of disease by promoting healthy lifestyle choices and whole foods nutrition. Before moving home to Oak Ridge, TN, Dr. Cleveland-Job enjoyed a thriving practice in Portland, OR.
Dr. Cleveland-Job, as a certified provider of the Low Energy Neurofeedback System, has worked with a number of patients who have suffered from neurological, cognitive, and emotional difficulties after traumatic brain injury. These individuals often have trouble identifying the cause of their difficulties, because symptoms may not appear until many months after an injury.
With Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS), Dr. Cleveland-Job has helped many individuals by reducing the frequency and severity of headaches; improving cognitive function, attention and focus; and alleviating anger, moodiness, anxiety, and insomnia; thus enabling many previously incapacitated individuals to return to their jobs. LENS is very effective at decreasing and, in some cases, completely resolving seizures. Dr. Cleveland-Job continues to be amazed by the brain’s ability to heal when given the right stimulation.
Dr. Cleveland-Job has extensive knowledge in the care of various cardiovascular conditions, hormonal imbalances and difficulties with menopause, thyroid problems, weight gain, and diabetes.
Training and Residency
Dr. Cleveland-Job graduated from Earlham College in Richmond, IN with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. After finishing her four-year medical training at NCNM, she completed her residency training at the Center for Natural Medicine in Portland. Throughout this residency, while working with Martin Milner, ND and Peter Banitt, MD, Dr. Cleveland-Job received specific training in cardiovascular medicine, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), targeted amino acid therapy, weight loss, and compounded thyroid hormones.
Dr. Cleveland-Job completed a one-year internship at NCNM working with individuals who were recovering from traumatic brain injuries. With this internship and additional training through Ochs Labs in Sebastapol, CA, Dr. Cleveland-Job became a certified provider of LENS and is experienced in treating many conditions including attention disorders, migraines, seizures, chronic pain, anxiety, sleep disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress, attention and hyperactivity problems, reactive attachment disorder and the many symptoms resulting from traumatic brain injuries.
In her free time, Dr. Cleveland-Job enjoys spending time with her husband John, barefoot running, biking, cooking and music.

I began my career as a massage therapist in 2009 and have practiced on my own and in a spa massage practice setting. I believe massage is an important part of a complete wellness program. Massage benefits both body and mind. Healing touch improves both the physical and mental health of the patient. It increases physical flexibility and mobility of the body; and it also boosts the “feel-good” hormones serotonin and dopamine, and decrease the stress hormone cortisol for a healthier mind.
I use various techniques including moist heat, deep-tissue work, and passive-assisted stretching to create a custom massage experience for patients in a relaxed setting that uses beautiful music and aromatherapy to engage the senses.
I believe the best investment we can make in our health is one that benefits body and mind together. I’m excited to offer Massage as a part of the whole patient experience at Knox Wellness.
Over a 30-year career as a Family Nurse Practicioner, I have practiced in a variety of settings. Starting at the Memphis Health Department and advancing to UT Memphis Center for Health Sciences as an instructor and Clinic Coordinator, I realized that women’s health encompasses many clinical issues that influence our overall health.
In recent years, I have narrowed my focus to facial aesthetic and dermatological challenges. As a teenager and adult, I suffered from acne and other skin conditions. Being of mixed ethnicity of Japanese and Europeans descent, I began to research the best treatments for women of color with similar skin care concerns.
My approach to facial aesthetics is both clinical and holistic. It is not enough for me to just perform facial aesthetic treatments, but also to understand the underlying causes. This approach allows me to give my patients comprehensive and individualized treatment to best meet their needs.
